i did it myself 6 years ago i have a stud with a ball and the bumps covers the ball

This is called scar tissue..nothing to worry about. remove the stud and replace it with a new one and clean the nose piercing by applying polysporin jell three times daily and this should clear up your problem. good luck

Your inmun system, reacted against your piercing, even you had it a long time. Because that system start to work slowly, during the days, month or years... as in your case, You need to take it out or you will get an infection, that could gets badly.
Take care yourself. Your body it's not a toy!
