I have a mass in my abdomen, what could it be?

Symptoms include lower back and stomach pain and stifness.
Answer:
This could very well be a number of things, such as a polyp, a tumor, a cyst, and the like...You need to get a check-up so they can catch it before too long!! You dont want to find out if its something that can become malignant, they you waited too long to see the doctor, you know what I mean...Be careful, and pay your pcp a visit, for us here on ByeDr.com's, okay!! Smile! And You be Good To You, for us!!
Gee. . . .what did your doctor say it was.?
It could be anything from faecal mass, worms etc ec, the location and consistecy of the mass could lead to a diagnosis , see your doctor , it could just be a lump
Differential diagnosis includes primary tumors of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract as well as extrinsic compression from another source. The EUS revealed a solitary, distinct mass of the stomach wall, narrowing the diagnosis. Gastric lymphomas, GISTs, neuroendocrine tumors, leiomyomas, leiomyosarcomas, carcinomas, endometriosis, lipomas, and diverticuli can all arise from the wall of the gastrointestinal tract. Normal pancreas, cystic lesions, and endometriosis can also rarely present in such a fashion.[1] The finding of a smooth, encapsulated mass without mucosal changes or invasive characteristics points to a slow-growing or benign process. Lack of spread into the wall or adjacent lymph nodes suggests a slow-growing lesion, increasing the suspicion for leiomyoma, GIST, or lipoma.
hope this helps i found it on the web, sounds like you should really see your dr and ask alot questions, hope everything turns out ok for you
Anyone can present u long lists of differential diagnosis. But this isn't the proper place for asking.U have to show a doc. Depends where is it exactly, size, consistency ,then upon your age, symptoms, history etc. A diagnosis is based on thorough history, examination n then certain tests...see a doctor as soon as u can ,don't neglect it .
