I have a four year old pit bull and for the last few weeks hes been having what looks like mucous w/his stool

MY DOG HAS BEEN POOPING NORMALLY BUT ON OCCASION THERE WILL BE A GOOPY OR JELLY LIKE MUCOUS CREAM OR PINK COLOR WITH IT . IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS OR KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEASE HELP. ALSO IF U KNOW OF A REASONABLE VET IN THE HOUSTON AREA?
Answer:
go to a farm supply or vet outlet or pet place and get nemex2 liquid wormer and worm your dog 3 days in a row then get him on monthly heart wormer and repeat the nemex every month 1 time i like to worm on the 1st of every month
need more help let me know
Not for positive cuz I just started at the Vet's but, a lot of dog's that have some kind of intestinal worm also have that problem...but u have the right idea about the Vet...some will even answer your question's over the phone..
Sounds Wormy To Me ...Make Sure He Is Wormed Properly...Or He May Die On You...Yes A Veternarian Is The "Answer" You Need.
it could be worms, or it could be an infected anal gland. have the vet check it out
Worms, possibly, but it generally indicates some kind of irritation in the stomach, intestines or bowels. Had a horse who did that and after a few other exams the vet determined she had developed an allergy to alfalfa hay and it had given her a stomach ulcer. Switched her to grass hay and the problem went away.
