Answer:
okay...I dont understand why u dont just go to the store and buy scissors...and I didnt know that hair could grow on the bottom of your foot...I cant really help you this time dude...dissect the worm?
hmm...interesting question.thats a head-scratcher
Put the worm back in the bottle and ease up on the Tequila. That should solve the problem.
Wash your ear, it works every time!

I have a rash. My school nurse said its poison ivy. Do you have any suggestions for me??

It really itches, its all over my arms and neck..and my face. Can I be allergic to something?? Or is it just a rash?
Answer:
If you've been walking in or near a woods or thick grassland recently, then it's probably poison ivy or poison oak. Sounds a lot like poison oak. I've had it before. If you want to scratch it (which you will), make your hand into a fist and slowly and gently rub with the knuckle where it itches. To treat it, use Calamine lotion.Gently rub over where it itches. After it's been applied, DO NOT SCRATCH IT. Let the lotion absorb into your skin. Don't wipe it off with a towel.Try to apply this at least thrice (three times) a day. It should be gone in no time! Hope this helps!
Listen to what she told you to do. Rubbing Alcohol dries up the lesions the best I have found. You can apply a band aid over it to prevent it from spreading.
Take Benadryl, they also have a cream esp. for poison ivy. it will help.hope you feel better.
Bathe in aveeno bath powder. Try not to scratch it too much. Wash you hands often as not to spread it all over your body.
hey.try to stay cool the heat will only make the itching worse...um...put some calamine lotion on it that should help the itch although it will make your skin a pinkish color. try not to scratch as well...scratching will only burst open the tiny blisters and cause the ivy to spread...which will lead to a bigger area of rash. and i'm not entirely sure about this but when i was little and i had a rash or whatnot my mom would have me take an oatmeal bath. now i know it sounds gross but it felt really good and once i rinsed off afterwards it was amazing...you can probably find oatmeal bath things at a store. The bath should help to dry out the poison ivy in time.but once again i'm not 100% postive of the affectiveness of the oatmeal bath. I know i used it as a kid and it worked then...well good luck and i know all of the other ones work.

I have a Rash. Its a alot of bumps clumped together on the side of my stomach .?

is there anything that i can use? or soak in? I'm using cortaid cream but the itching wont stop!! any sugguestions
Answer:
take some benydril to...will work from the inside..could be heat rash..but if it starts to hurt bad could be shingles.find a bath product like aveno that has oatmeal in it..my gram says milk works to
Check it out it may be shingles.
if you dont have any idea why it might be there, such as contact with poison ivy, known allergy, etc., you may want to visit a doc if that cream does'nt work out for you and have an allergy test performed.
I had one for two days and it's gone; it was just a heat rash!

I have a rash, anyone know what it could be?

the rash started on my elbows and behind my knees. it has now spread up my thigh and up my arms. i havent been ill. the rash is very itchy and feels like goosebumps. u cant actually see it unless i have been scratching it for a while. i havent changed anthin; washin powder shampoo soap. i have taken anti-histamines (sp) they havent helped and tried kalamine lotion, another no goer. any clues?
Answer:
It is probably one of these things... (all very similar in nature)1. eczema - inflamed or irritated skin that gets red and itchy
2. psoriosis - a condition where the skin get dry and irritated.
3. foliculitis - iriitated skin or hair folicules.
4. an allergy to something - food or environmental.and this is what you should do.1. use some over-counter cortisone cream from the pharm., continue with benydryl or claritin as well.
2. if that don't work, or if you are curious, see a dermatologist or allergist.
3. stop scratching.
4. drink lots of water
5. switch to mild soaps and detergents - (ie: dove, cetaphil, cheer.)
could be german measels, go to the doctor as it may be infectous.
Pop down to your local pharmacist, they will take a look for you. Could be one of a hundred things but does sound a little like scabies (I've caught it a few times from patients)
Excema? Psoriasis? Heat rash caused by sweating? Allergies?
elbows and knees? sounds like psoriasis (pron: sor- eye- a- sis) to me. Its usually brought on by stress, and once you have it, there is no cure, but there are treatments (E45 cream etc.) However, i am not a GP. Go see a doctor to find out what it is.By the way, psoriasis isnt lethal or anything, just itchy!
i used to have the same problem!! it turned out to be eczema, it was a nightmare!! try using E45 cream, i found this really helped. if that doesnt work try canesten, it has some sort of steroid in which helps repair the skin. good luck! :o)
Could be allergic reaction. Try Zyrtec or Clarytine, if allergic reaction should be gone in 1 hour.
Sounds like to me you have a case of heat rash. Some cortizone cream will get rid of all that. Try putting some powder on in the places that moisture can build up when its hot outside. ex: behind ur knees, in the bend of your arms, around ur thighs where your clothes rub. That will help in kepping the moisture out. Benadryl with help with the itching too. Make sure to check with a doc. if none of this works. They may give you something stronger.
It is possible that it is not any of the conditions listed, such as psoriasis etc., but it sounds like it is irritating enough for you to want help for it. Go to your clinic, or see your Doctor.

I have a rash that breaks out on my face, I have tried different creams but nothing works.?

a red rash with little bumps, on my forehead as well
Answer:
Might be rosacea. See a dermatologist to get something prescription for it.

I have a rash on my right arm, slowly spreading, in small goosepimple sized bumps?

I do have moderate eczema, but I can tell this is something outside of the normal eczema breakout. It's very rapid moving, having spread from the fold of my inner elbow to all up and down the length of my arm within about five days. I've also noticed a white, almost welt-like spot with a couple smaller red spots around it: do you think it's a bug bite that led to a rash? I was moving boxes from my old house's basement and attic this past week, and there was a spider in my bed just the other day. So--bug bite or something more sinister? Any treatment advice? It doesn't itch too often, but when it does it gets very red and raised from the skin.
Answer:
Could there have been any mice in the basement that may have carried something to you? I would also consider an allergy to dust mites, especially if you already have a skin reaction (eczema). Have you tried taking any vitamin C for the inflammation? If it does not improve, go to the doctor.
I had a similar sounding experience last year. It was cellulitis (swelling of skin and follicles hence the goose-pimple look). On top of the cellulitis I had a staph infection. It made me feel ill and ended up in the emergency department twice cos I didn't get the medical help soon. Whether its something like that or a insect bite, you should get medical advice and treatment. Don't put it off like I did or it may get worse. If other symptoms occur like nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, get to your doctor pronto.Hope it helps and good luck

I have a question??

what causes the itching sensation? i dont meen when something is tickling your skin like a bug, but just when you are sitting there and all of a sudden you feel an itch. im just curious.. so does anybody know?...
Answer:
is it in your crotch area? If so, maybe take a bath, you may be unclean.
Y do U keep asking this?
Fleas
I DUNNO MAYBE YOUR SKIN IS DRY. JUST PUT LOTION ON YOUR BODY
there are organisms on your body which you cant see with naked eyes. those might cause that itching sensation. But many a time, its your own nerves that is the culprit. they twich on their own (may be dur to excess neurotransmitter secretion). then you feel all on a sudden a felling of itching. That's all I know.
I think maybe the dust make the skin feel itch. Because everytime when i cleaning the dust during spring cleaning and i will feel itch.
Many drinks and foods can cause general itching on your body.
Avoid pepper and and chemical additives .
Some disease conditions like liver diseases may be the cause.
localized itching(as in your case) may be due to certain reasons. 1. it may be caused by any rash on your skin. 2. it may be due to certain chemicals in body soaps. 3. it may be due to any skin infection caused by bacteria in the air due to increasing pollution. 4.it may happen because you probably use some cream which has substances like vitamin a, and aloe eva. to which your skin might be allergic. so please check out which suits you. thanks

I have a question on skin?!?

well i've been useing TOOTHPASTE on my face to dry-up pimples. However, just recently it hasn't been working. i used to use but stopped after a while. HELP!
Answer:
change your pillowcase.
this helped me.
hope this helps you too ;-)
Read about toothpaste to helps acne here : - http://www.acneskin123.com/get-rid-of-ac...- 3 Unusual Natural Cures For Acne, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/3unusual-natu... Hope this helps.
i've heard that works, but you may want to buy a tube/jar of zinc oxide. worked like a charm for me during high school and it isn't expensive.
i am not really an expert on this subject, but i'll give it go. try rubbing moisterizer on your face twice daily, and wear a clay mask once every other day for about fifteen minutes. also, everyother day before you go to bed, you know those towlettes that you use to clean your face that burn like crap? well try to use one to remove any oil that clogs the pores. hopefully it will work!
[and save toothpaste for the teeth ^^]
Look up that about TOOTHPASTE your face.

I have a question about thyroidectomy?

What surgical hazards can be associated when doing a thyroidectomy?
Answer:
Surgical hazards associated with a Thyroidectomy include thyrotoxicosis or what they called "thyroid storm", accedental removal of the parathyroids, accidental injury to the major arteries in the neck, and damage to the recurent laryngeal nerves
Vocal cords can be effected, heavy bleeding, infection, increased swelling that can block windpipe. Side effects are rare for reputable surgeons.
Approx 13% of patients have either major or minor complications.Bleeding after the procedure can occur. If this occurs beneath the wound,it can interfere with breathing.Infection is another possiblity. If the laryngeal nerve is injured, horseness or voice loss can occur.
As a sufferer of an underactive Thyroid I am on a constant medication level of 150micrograms a day of throxin . My discussions with my doctor have led to the belief that at my age of 57 there is no reason what soever to take the option of surgery to remove the Thyroid gland. However if I was Thirty years younger the risks involved would be infinitesimal and would be a good choice to make.Good luck . Will think of you!

I have a question about Cancer...?

I am looking for feedback on any information that anyone might have on any type of cure or remedy etc. for cancer. I am not looking for the kind of info you get from your everyday docotor, but the kind of medicine or herb or anyhting other than whats given by the licensed medical doctor. It doesnt matter if your not sure if what you know is correct, I just want to get as much feedback as possible so i can research myself. The kind of stuff I'm looking for is something to this effect: A lot of times people from other countries or different cultures use or know about certain herbs, remedies or what ever it might be to help fight or cure certain illnesses or diseases or injuries, etc. You know, the kind f things that the medical board may not use or say it's not a real way to fight cancer. What ever info you may have or know where I can search for this kind of info, please let me know. Thank you,
Answer:
You could look up this website:- http://gawler.org/html/s01_home/home.asp...Ian Gawler is an Australian man who had a cancerous leg amputated when he was quite young. He treated himself following the amputation with diet and a meditative lifestyle. He has never had a setback.
I know one, it's a remedy that was given to my mother by a priest. It fights cancer.I'll have to look for it, it's written on a paper.
Well, I don't know how much help those things can be, but if you're really interested in finding out about herbal remedies, Germany is the place to look. Try finding German websites on herbals. Germany has done extensive research on herbals and other supplements. The U.S. really hasn't done a lot of research, so what you find in the U.S. may just be a bunch of crap that somebody's trying to sell you.
I don't know if this will help, but have you tried contacting an ayurvedic doctor, and/or a naturopath? There are many ways to treat cancer...you can work in conjunction with a certified traditional MD as well as non-traditional practitioners. Researching changes in diet can help...though I tend to believe that in treating any disease, one should be looking not just at the physical aspects, but also should include mind and spirit (mind/body/spirit).I hope this helps
I am really not sure, but I am battling a lung disease, so if you get some answers. shoot me an e-mail I am interested in this question...OR Nurse
I have read alot about curry reducing tumor sizes, also asprin seems to be gaining more and more evidence towards this effect as well.

I have a question about bicuspid aortic valve?

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people who responded to my last question.Your answers were very helpful.Just to recap I'm a 43 year old Brit living in Japan married to a local lady with three young daughters.Last year I was diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve by chance. My mean pressure gradient was 28mm and at another hospital 22mm. My valve area was 2.3cms.This year soon after having a very heavy meal the echo gave a reading of 37mm and 32mm.I'm going to another hospital to have a transoesophageal echo in June.I feel terrified that that my pressure gradient increased so much. The doctor said not to worry as I have no symptoms, stenosis or regurgitation but I'm afraid to say I still have sleepless nights.Last year the doctor said weight training, yoga and running was ok but now nothing is allowed.Would having an echo directly after eating a heavy meal cause this increase or is it due to my exercises. The doctor said Japan is quite medically advanced but I'm very down.
Answer:
This article will help you out:ComplicationsAortic valve regurgitation 鈥?or any heart valve problem 鈥?puts you at risk of endocarditis. Endocarditis is an infection of the heart's inner lining 鈥?the endocardium. This membrane lines the four chambers and four valves of your heart. Typically, this infection involves one of the heart valves, especially if it's already damaged. If the aortic valve is leaky, it's more prone to infection than a healthy valve. You can develop endocarditis when bacteria from another part of your body spread through your bloodstream and lodge in your heart. If you have aortic valve regurgitation, your doctor may recommend that you take antibiotics before certain dental or medical procedures to decrease the likelihood that bacteria will enter your bloodstream and cause an infection in your heart. When it's mild, aortic valve regurgitation may never pose a serious threat to your health. But when it's severe, aortic valve regurgitation may lead to congestive heart failure. Congestive heart failure is a serious condition in which your heart is unable to pump sufficient blood to meet your body's needs.
Any way you are in safe hands.
You don't have to worry as long as the valve is patent. The haemodynamic effects of bicuspid valve only occur when you have a leak - stenosis where it is hard for the heart to force blood through the valve or regurgitation where the blood leaks back into the ventricle when the heart relaxes. If you don't have either of those, your heart, valve and circulation will function just fine.Oooh - there's a wiki page. Look even they say "The majority will cause no problems. However, especially in later life, a bicuspid aortic valve may become calcified, which may lead to varying degrees of severity of aortic stenosis and aortic regurgitation, which will manifest as murmurs. If these become severe enough, they may require heart surgery."Have another ECHO check up at some stage. You will find the gradient goes up and down a little depending on your fluid status and blood pressure, how much salt you've been eating etc. Oh, and how much you're stressing - so RELAX! This is in fact important therapy for your heart.Find some way to learn relaxation exercises - something like gentle yoga, meditation, self hypnosis ... etc I'd say tai chi but you're in Japan and I think Aikido would be a little much at present.Japan is medically advanced. You're in good hands.

A transesophageal echo is best to asses right an left atriums, but not so much left ventricle. The problem with bicuspid valves is exactly as you stated, the greater tendency to become stenotic, because by itself, a bicuspid failed to disjoint itself, so it tends to stenosis. An echo after a meal would be affected only if you were eating just as they were taking it, or if you have some GI problems. Remember that pressures have to change by exercise and movement to compensate, so it is normal to have variants in pressure. Just make sure your visits are every six to 12 months, and just keep off the fat, which by living in Japan, you most probably are! Take care, and keep on livinginstead of worrying about it
Why did you ask this question twice?

I have a question about amoxicillin?

I am breastfeeding my baby is almost a month old, i have a urinary tract infection i went to the docters and they gave me amoxicillin for it and i want to know the possible side effects it could have on my baby.
Answer:
the baby could get thrush, which is a yeast infection in the mouth, that's about it!Let me clarify. when you take amoxicillin, you are able to get a yeast infection, amoxicillin does that to many women. When you are breastfeeding, it is possible for you to get a yeast infection in your breasts. If you have a yeast infection in your breasts and then feed your baby, it is possible to transfer your infection to the baby, in it's mouth. A yeast infection in the mouth is called candidiasis, or thrush. And no you don't have to be on an anti-biotic like amoxicillin for months or years (as one responder stated) to develop a yeast infection. And by the way, who in the heck would prescribe amoxicillin for that long?! It would cause you to be immune to antibiotics! hello! wow, she should rethink her major! When I was pregnant they gave me amoxicillin for a uti and I got a yeast infection from it, it happens. If your child were older, then yes you would feed him/her yogurt with live active cultures. Apparently some responders didn't read how old your baby is!! One still thinks you are pregnant! You cannot feed a one month old yogurt!! On the other hand, you should consider eating yogurt though because it will decrease your chance of getting a yeast infection altogether, therefore preventing it from ever being an issue for your baby. The actual drug amoxicillin will not harm your baby whatsoever. The yeast is a suprainfection or basically a side effect of the drug. So, eat yogurt and watch for an infection in your breasts, they will be sore, red and inflammed. Thrush looks like white patches in the mouth around the gums and cheeks. Hope this helps!
None, he wouldt of gave it to you if it would harm the baby. The baby is not really getting that much of it out of your breast milk. At least he wont be sick!
Since your doctor knows you are pregnant, he/she wouldn't prescribe anything harmful to you. Most likely a highly diluted form of the antibiotic will pass to the baby through the milk and not pose a threat to them. Thrush in babies/people can be acquired if they were on an antibiotic for a long period of time for a serious infection(months... years..) I had a family member acquire a bacterial infection from a hospital, and after being on a broad spectrum antibiotic for a 6 months and they acquired thrush (They are on antibiotics for life due to the severity of the infection). However, some people are more sensitive to antibiotics and they can develop thrush or a vaginal yeast infection within a few days of being on antibiotics. To prevent thrush, you could feed your baby yogurt if they were a few months older. You yourself can eat yogurt to prevent thrush. Make sure you get a yogert with live active cultures, because they are helpful bacteria.CANDIDA (YEAST OR THRUSH) INFECTION ON NIPPLES
Candida (also called yeast, monilla or thrush) is a fungus that thrives in warm, dark, moist environments, such as the mucus membranes of the mouth and vagina, the diaper area, skin folds, bra pads, and on persistently wet nipples. Suspect candida as the cause of your sore nipples if: Your nipples are extremely sore, burning, itching, red, or blistery.
You experience shooting pains in your breasts during or just after feeding (especially during your milk ejection reflex).
The usual remedies for sore nipples aren't working.
Baby has oral thrush (white, cottage-cheese-like patches on the tongue and sides of the mouth) and/or a yeasty diaper rash.
Your nipples suddenly become sore after a period of pain-free breastfeeding.
You are taking, or have just finished taking, a course of antibiotics. Yeast infections are common following antibiotic treatment.
Here are some simple suggestions that may help prevent a yeast infection on your nipples, or cure a mild case of yeast infection: Yeast organisms hate sunlight, so give your bra and breasts a sun bath. Expose your nipples to sunlight for several minutes several times a day. After washing them, dry your bras in the sunlight.
Air-dry your nipples after each feeding
Avoid plastic-lined breast pads that irritate skin and trap leaked milk.
Change nursing pads after each feeding.
Wear 100 percent cotton bras and wash them daily in very hot water.
Thoroughly wash pump parts that come in contact with your breasts in a bleach solution and boil them in water for five minutes daily.
TREATING CANDIDA: INFECTION OF THE NIPPLE
If the simple home remedies listed above don't bring relief, consult your healthcare provider about the following treatments: Apply an antifungal cream (mycostatin, clotrimazole, myconazole) to your nipples as suggested or prescribed by your doctor. If you have a candida infection in your nipples, baby should be treated for thrush even if you can't see any white patches in the mouth. Your healthcare provider will prescribe an oral antifungal suspension that should be painted on baby's tongue, roof, and sides of the mouth three or four times a day for a couple of weeks. If baby has a candida diaper rash, treat it with an over-the-counter antifungal cream. Eat lots of yogurt (the kind with live active cultures) and take oral acidophilus. This encourages good bacteria to live in your gut and discourages the growth of yeast. If the candida is resistant to the standard treatments described above, in consultation with your healthcare provider, try a 0.25 - 0.5 percent solution of gentian violet applied to your nipples twice a day for three days. Gentian violet is effective, but messy. Also, apply a small amount once a day to baby's mouth, but be aware that overuse of gentian violet may irritate the sensitive oral mucus membranes of baby's mouth. Apply Vaseline to baby's lips before using the gentian violet to avoid purple stains. Warning 鈥?gentian violet has been used for many years to treat thrush. A recent study done in Australia has linked gentian violet to cancer of the mouth. However, many other professionals around the world believe that it is safe, and continue to recommend it. For this reason, we suggest you use this remedy sparingly, and for as little time as possible. If your baby has thrush but your nipples are not yet sore, apply the prescribed medicine to baby's mouth just before feeding so that your nipples get the preventive benefit of the medication as well. If your healthcare provider advises you to wash the creams off your nipples prior to breastfeeding, do so gently with warm water. While nursing on a candida-infected nipple can be exquisitely painful, it is necessary to keep the affected breast empty to prevent mastitis, or even a candida infection deeper into the breast tissue. Pay particular attention to proper latch-on and easing your baby off your nipples at the end of the feeding, since infected nipples are more sensitive and prone to injury from improper sucking patterns.
Yeast infections can be very persistent. Use the full course of medication suggested by your doctor, and continue using the home remedies for several weeks so that the infection will not reoccur. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/2/t028100...Causes, incidence, and risk factors:Thrush is caused by a fungus called Candida albicans. This organism lives in your mouth and is usually kept in check by healthy organisms that also live there. However, when your resistance to infection is low, the fungus can grow, leading to lesions in your mouth and on your tongue. The following can lessen your resistance to infection and increase your chances of getting thrush:Taking antibiotics or steroid medications
Having HIV infection or AIDS
Receiving chemotherapy for cancer or drugs to suppress your immune system following an organ transplant
Being very old or very young
Being in poor health
Having diabetes
Thrush is commonly seen in infants. It is not considered abnormal in infants unless it lasts longer than a couple of weeks.Candida albicans can also cause yeast infections in the vagina.
Prevention If you have frequent outbreaks of thrush, your doctor may recommend taking antifungal medication on a regular basis to avoid recurrent infections. If an infant with thrush is breast-feeding, talk to your doctor about ways to prevent future infections, such as an antifungal medication. Sterilize or discard any pacifiers. For bottle-fed babies with thrush, discard the nipples and buy new ones as the baby's mouth begins to clear.

Prevention:The following measures may help reduce your risk of developing Candida infections:Try using yogurt or acidophilus capsules when you take antibiotics.
Treat any vaginal yeast infections that develop during pregnancy as soon as possible.
If you smoke, ask your doctor about the best ways to quit.
See your dentist regularly 鈥?at least every six to 12 months 鈥?especially if you have diabetes or wear dentures. Brush and floss your teeth as often as your dentist recommends.
Try limiting the amount of sugar and yeast-containing foods you eat, including bread, beer and wine. These may encourage the growth of Candida. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/oral-th...
Shouldn't affect baby at all. Amoxicillin is generally not passed through the milk to the baby, so baby won't get any. Even if baby gets some of it, it won't be enough to get thrush.

I have a question about acne scarring...?

Why is it that my face scars up from acne? I don't pick at my acne, I hardly touch it.
Answer:
yup. im 17, and happens to me too. all my friends pick at their pimples, and they have no scars and i'm just sitting there like "well, you can see indents on my forehead..."its just about having sensetive skin. the scars go away in about 2 years and most people say they can't see them. you see youself about 5000 times worse than anyone else. you may be looking at your skin, but people look at the WHOLE you. try facial masks if you want. for acne, i use the one and only product that works...my flute teacher (stragely) suggested it before a concert when i had the three biggest pimples on my forehead between my eyebrows. go to a local Macy's or Nordstroms, or order online. its a company called "Origin" and it has the best products. the only thing i need is this little tiny gel in a small round bottle its called "Origin Spot Remover." it contains salyicic acid, benzoyle peroxide, aloe vera, and tons of other stuff. one pat of the remover on a pimple, and in about 18 hours, its completely gone. no redness at all. i love it. they have a website. type in "origin skin products" into google and it'll come up.

I have a question about a not very common skin disorder...?

It consists of very red, constantly flaking skin. The skin on the person's hands is rough and crackily like rhino hide and the CONSTANT flaking is all over everything, because the skin disorder/condition effects the entire body. However, the people who suffer from this heal VERY quickly. After a day or two, a cut on their finger/arm/leg/etc is completely gone with no sign that it was even there. I want to find out the technical term for it. Someone I know has it and she told me the name, it's sort of complex. PLEASE, does anyone know the answer to this? I THINK she treats it with lotions or oils everyday, she can't wear perfumes and she gets sunburns very quickly and easily, she said she got 3rd degree sunburn on her ankles from sitting under an umbrella on the beach and her ankles being exposed to the sun for less than an hour. Her skin is rather fragile. Please help! I want to find out more about this so that I can look for things to help her. Thank you.
Answer:
It might be scleroderma (Latin for "hard skin"), which is an autoimmune disease (one where the body attacks part of itself). I have included two links so you can decide for yourself if that's what she has.
How kind of you to want to help your friend!

About 6 years ago someone stepped on my toe and it badly hurt. The edge of my nail broke off, but it was okay. From that day on, I have had a problem with my toe. There is some hard, white or yellowish color stuff in between the edge of the nail and the toe. It doesn't hurt, it just looks bad. Now, I tried to cut the nail down and file it. But the stuff in my toenail is hard and feels attached. Is there anything I can do to fix it or has anyone else had this problem?
Answer:
you have a fungus growing under the nail and need to get a prescription medication to take care of it, go to the docor. have you seen those commercials with the little green monster and he climbs under the nail and scratches around, that is you in the commercial, good thing is you only waited 6 years
See a podiatrist and get this taken care of.
cut it off lol
Sounds like a toenail fungus. If so, they have a prescription "nail polish" to help get rid of it.
I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like your toe is healing incorrectly. More than likely from your toe being stepped on and the edge of the nail breaking off (if that is the case). The best thing for you to do is to see a doctor about this as soon as you can. Just because it's not hurting you doesn't mean that the threat of something serious is not there (i.e. gangrene)

I have a problem with my speech/stutter?

Answer:
Several of my uncles and cousins were able to overcome their stuttering with the help of The Stuttering Foundation's book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer." One of the uncles also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering at the same time that he worked through the book. He found the therapist with the help of the Foundation, too. They have a list under "referrals" on their web site www.stutteringhelp.org.
go to ur doctor
there is something new out to help this problem
what they do is stick an earphone into ur ear so you can hear yourself speak
our brain hears the incorrection and forces itself to speak correctly
as you hear yourself speak correctly your problems begin to disperse
i saw this on tv on the medical channelGood Luck! =)
your not alone Mel Tillus is a great country singer he make fun of problem . great singer and song writer.. get his tapes or cds
Consider seeing a speech/language therapist/pathologist (called different things in various countries). Depending on how old you are and how long you have had this problem there are a number of treatment options available.
I wont bore you with them here... but there are heaps of things that can be done!
Hope this helps,
Cheers
Well, you aren't alone. In fact over 3 million people in the U.S. stutter. And there are many famous people that have had that difficulty...Winston Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, James Earl Jones and like Grandpa said Mel Tillis. Although there is no instant cure for it...there is therapy that can be done through a speech-language pathologist. You might want to check out the site below. The Stuttering Foundation...see there FAQ section and the information regarding insurance reimbursement for treatment.

I have a pretty ugly bump that has apeard under my arm pit, its extreamy painful & big, what could it be?

Answer:
A zit.Like this one: http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch...
if its a mole get it checked
if its a red bump idk mayb a bug bite
get it checked just to be sure
Wart, or groath
Could be a clogged sweat duct. Try switching deoderants. I get them from mitchum and get rid of them when I switch to degree.
if you shave you could have cut your skin
it can be a inflammation. have you changed deordorants? I use to have that and had to go off deodorants for awhile and then try a different one. but to be sure see your md.
It could be a cyst or it could be swollen lymph nodes (sign of infection). Any kind of lump should always be checked out by a doctor.
Could be an ingrown hair, but honestly, I wouldn't be asking yahoo...I'd be seeing a doctor! That's your best bet.
probably a clogged sweat gland--try icthymol salve (aka 'black salve') to pull the puss out. Probably wouldn't hurt to see a doctor and get an antibiotic to help the healing process
It could simply be an infected hair folicle or sweat gland which can get quite large and painful. Use an antibacterial soap like Dial to shower with and clean several times a day with the current heat outside. If this does not resolve in a weekor so, then you need to see your Dr. to test for other things.

I have a plantar wart that appears to have more than one black dot on it?

It looks like it has 7 or 8 little black dots inside instead of one big one. I have been doing than freezing thing where you hold the burning thing on your wart and its not working. How do I make it go away?
Answer:
I had mine done in the doctor's office with liquid nitrogen. The stuff you are using at home might not be strong enough to take care of yours. Most plantar warts have several of the black dots, so don't worry about that. :-)
Try visiting the doctor. That's what I did. They tried to freeze it twice and it didn't work so they numbed me up and just cut it off. I didn't feel any pain at all afterwards. Just tell your doc that the freezing didn't work, he'll know what to do.
if it is a plantar wart, it is on your foot, right??? you cannot do anything for it yourself. You must go to a doctor and have it surgically removed... it's nothing. and a plantar wart hurts. So, go to a doctor and let them remove the entire thing for a plantar wart has a long root. and you cannot leave it there. it is a place just waiting for cancer. I have had them removed and it is a piece of cake. The black dot can be just a scab or a hole which makes me think it is NOT a plantar's wart... please see a professional...
Have you tried this stuff called PRID? ( I hope I spelled that right) It is sold over the counter and it "draws" the stuff out. I had a big problem with plantar warts and was seeing a doctor who just kept me coming back . His assistant would use some kind of little dremel tool to grind away at the things. This was very painful and did not help a thing. Finally I went to this old foot doctor in another town. He took one of those long q-tip things and put some of that on it. It went away! I saw this doctor ONE time!!
The black dots are the plantar wart's blood supply. The wart is claiming your foot as home. You will want to have a doctor work on it. Plantar warts are very stubborn and usually very difficult to treat at home on your own. Since you are now developing more black dots your wart is taking hold and claiming a blood supply. I think it will take medical help to get your feet wart fee. Good Luck!
These wort's are hard to battle but you must keep trying. Go to a dermatologist, they may know something your practitioner doesn't.

I have a place on my arm?

It looks like I have been burned. I haven't what has caused this? or what could it be??
Answer:
Is it scaley as well as red? It could be psoriasis, alot of people have it and it doesn't have to be severe like you see on T.V. it can just be a small area that shows up for a few weeks and disappears. It can reoccur or you may never see it again.
tammy with that lil info do you really think we can help you? no we cat get ya as.s to the doc NOW!
Well this question isnt detailed enough for me to help you out. Have you scratched a bug bite maybe a little too much? Or possibly gotten rug burn. I would need more detail to help you
If you are over 60, it is just an age spot.
Try using vitamin e cream and see if it goes away.
It could be roasacea. have u ben out in the sun? use sunscreen if u go out in bright light. Also if u notice a change in the area consult a physician and oh yes. rosacea a common reddening of the facial area(slso other areas) is very treatable!

I have a pink a bit rased bump on my arm, its a size of a neckle , does anyone no what this could be and?

I have a pimple!!!!!!!.
An excellent remedy for pimples or acne-prone skin can be made by mixing 1 teaspoon ground cloves with 2 tablespoons fullers earth and ice water. When you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/... for more useful info.

I have a pimple that wont stop pussing and slightly bleeding, it was huge the past 2 days and i guess popped?

it is all ***** leaking out and kinda nasty and its been like this for the past 10-12 minutes on and off. itll be ok, then all of a sudden a huge blob of gunky stuff, what should i do??
Answer:
Wash it with soap and water and dry it. Put a little dab of honey on it and then put a bandaid on it. Change the bandaid as needed, continuing to put a little honey on it. The honey will help draw out the infection.
Do not squeeze at it.Just grab a cotton ball or soft wash cloth and clean it with warm soapy water. It may continue to puss a little here and there, but keeping it clean and not picking at it will help it heal faster.
put an ice cube on it, and some paper towel to catch the drips under your chin
the ice will contract the capilaries that are bleeding
Leave it alone. Clean well with soap. Use an ice pack to calm the inflammation. Get an acne topical drying agent (Burt's Bees Dr. Burt's herbal blemish stick is good) and use that over the top. It'll heal up over 2-3 days.

I have a pimple still on my cheek from my period?

How should I get rid of it?It's medium-sized and firm with no puss cap.It doesn't itch or anything though.I get one at every period but this one is taking awhile to leave.
Answer:
First of all, Do Not Squeeze it. Doing so will irritate it and possible cause infection. What you could try is what I used to do. Apply hot compresses to speed up the rate at which is comes to a head and pops itself. Also use a good astringent cleanser and wash your face with a gentle soap. Stay away from greasy foods and eat a well balance diet. Wash your face at least twice daily to keep the pores of your skin free of dirt and don't wear heavy makeup. It will clog your pores. If a warm compress doesn't work try using a heating pad wrapped in a protective cover. It will give a steady heat instead of cooling off right away.
Put honey on it and cover with a band aid, this will help with the forming of a "head" DO NOT SQUEEZE OR PICK! you will get scars. Just keep washing and covering. wear it to bed and when you are at home.
Read tips on treating acne, skincare and home remedies on this site
I would use seom sea breeze on it, sooner or later it will come to a head. then cont. to use the breeze it will clear it up fast. Good Luck.
If you have to look great for something and its a red irritated bump it sounds funny but put hemeroid cream on it. Its made to reduce swelling.
Try putting alittle toothpaste on it when you go to bed. It will help dry it up and bring down the swelling. Dont forget to wash your face as often as possible.
contact dermatologist.
Oh don't you hate those? They're like beacons shining for
ships at sea, don't you think LOL? I get the hard ones every
once in awhile, and I always use just plain rubbing alcohol on
a cotton ball a few times a day, and at night. I have had them
go down overnight and by day three they are not hard anymore but do require a touch of cover up stick to hide them.
But the redness will fade if you keep applying the alcohol
til it's gone. It works for me, and is one of the cheapest
remedies there is. You have nothing to lose!
Get a really hot wash cloth and cover the pimple, keep getting it as hot as you can stand it and reapplying it, this will help bring it to a "puss cap", and then you can get rid of it.
Get a very sharp needle and sanitize it by using alcohol then prick the top layer of skin with the needle. This will help the pimple to drain faster. It's sort like a fluid filled cyst.If you drain the cyst it won't be as large and will heal faster.

I have a pimple on my cheek that causes swelling under my eye, what do I do?

I have what I think is a pimple on my cheek (i'm not sure because it feels pretty deep and it doesnt have a head or anything) it's in line with the end of my eyebrow and i tried using this stuff last night to help it go away but I woke up this morning and the area underneath the one eye was obviously swollen (before anyone calls this an allergic reaction i used this same stuff on other parts of my face last night and my skin is completely normal. What coulld this possibly be?
Answer:
Wash it with a very warm compress and repeat this process a lot - tonight. On 10 minutes off another 10 try to make sure the wash cloth is clean and very warm.
Add peroxide and sleep with your head elevated. Take a motrin for the swelling. If worse or not better tomorrow call your family MD.
sounds like a risen or boyle nothing to be worried about do not mess with it it should go away soon okay
Cystic pimples are deep, and often don't show heads for days, or sometimes even never.
Try not to touch or mess with the pimple, or it will swell worse.
It probably won't help, but you could try putting ice on it.

I have a pimple like thing on my vagina..?

i have a pimple like thing on my vagina it has been here for 3 days.. its on top like where the hair is not near the inside or near my clit or inside my lips or anything. well i had popped it a little and then it had a scab and i was squeezing it because it feels like there is a lump inside and it oozed pus.. it was really painful but the pain lessened a lot. what could it be?
Answer:
Ingrown hair.
It just sounds like a zit to me.
I don't know what it is but go to the doctor immediately.
Since it's on the outside, it's probably an ingrown hair... and those can be painful. The lump you felt might be the hair.
It sounds like a pimple. It's happened to me before and I went to the doctor. I felt silly that I was so worried and it turned out to be nothing.
If it does not clear up on it own by next week, then you might want to get it check out, but don't panic.
EW don't touch it and squeeze it!!!

I have a persistent itch "down there"?

Answer:
girl i saw you hiding behind that shed!
i think you got bugs .. fleas most likely .. or maybe just put some secret anti-perspiring down "there"
sound like a bacteria under the skin or a fungi...use baking soda and water and see if that doesnt do it also try tea tree oil which is good for it...give it pleanty of air and drink alot more water.hope it helps

I have a persistant rumbling in my chest..what can it be?

I'm going to the doc soon, but I want to get an idea of what it might be.I have had this feeling of mucus in my chest for weeks now. Sometimes after heavy exercise it makes my breathing harder. Othewise it causes no harm and I can breathe easy but sometimes I feel a little rumble in my chest. There is NO PAIN at all!! What can it be?
Answer:
My husband had that same feeling a while back. He says it was allergy from the cat (dander) and plus if you're around a lot of dust or chemicals that could make it worse. Nothing helped until we moved.
Your doc will know!
This happened to me a couple years ago. Mine was the flu then pnemonia. It might be one of those. But ya, you need to go to the docter.
If you've had the flu or a cold lately, it could be mucus in your lungs.
Take an expectorant and see if that helps.

I have a pain on the top of my head and i get temple pain. i had a CT scan of my head 2 weeks ago?

do you think it could be a tumor or something else. i am going to a a neuroglist on friday. should i be scared? i get pains all over my head.
Answer:
It is good you have an appt. with a Neurologist: Just guessing of course, but I would guess, Temporal Ateritis---Blood work and other symptoms will zeron in. Quite often SED rate (blood work) will reveal a higher than normal sedimention rate.
They diagnosed me with similar and took prednisone in declining doses for 9 months which relieved problem by some 90 pct. Good luck. Go prepared to ask lots of questions although some Drs. dont like that.

I have a pain in my lower back and around my hips and a a discharge could I have a bladder infection or kidney

stones.
Answer:
Yes you could. Flank pain is one of the main symptoms of a kidney infection, as well as pain in the lower abdomen. With a bladder infection generally painful urination occurs but it does not always occur with a kidney infection. If the pain is continual and does not go away after a few days, you need to see the doctor. It is possible that you have something else going on, but they will at least do a urine test to determine if there is any infection or anything causing the pain.
It could also be a prostrate problem . I think you need a Dr. to check it out.
yes go to your doctor and get them to run a urine test. they will be able to tell you right away and give you antibiotics to help you get over it

I have a one year old scar on my nose that was caused by my prescription glasses.?

is there a way for me to heal this scar fast or at least make it less noticeable. Please give me some creams or home remedies to make my scar fade away fast. It isn't that big about half an inch scar on my nose. It is on the surface and the color of the scar is brown because my skin color is white and im asian. If u have any creams or drugs please tell me and tell me or predict how fast it will work for my scar on my nose to fade away. Thank You
Answer:
Mederma applied twice daily, will fade the scar in about 3 weeks.
vitamin E oil works to heal scaring.
Go to roynorton.com, they have some natural skin care products, a few women told me it helped with cancer scares on their faces.
um well, put a bandage over it like srry a BANDIAD or you could work as a life guard if you know how to swim and like you could just put sunblock on it so no one notices i mean like really it's summer. you could say to people who stare. "do you really wanna get a sunburn?" and well, i say you should switch to contacts if you wear your glasses too much. lol it's easier.

I have a nose piercing and i have a bump on the inside help?

i did it myself 6 years ago i have a stud with a ball and the bumps covers the ball
Answer:
This is called scar tissue..nothing to worry about. remove the stud and replace it with a new one and clean the nose piercing by applying polysporin jell three times daily and this should clear up your problem. good luck
put alcohol on it it probably will burn but it will clean it up okay
Yeah..um that is a personal question to ask you're self why the heck did you do it yourself that was reaaal STUPID go see a doctor and put neosporin on it. Girl, you messed up big time 6 months ago
Didn't know you could get syphillis from a nose piercing? j/k, go see a doctor.
OK sweet girl, I am going to tell you what's happening in your nose.
Your inmun system, reacted against your piercing, even you had it a long time. Because that system start to work slowly, during the days, month or years... as in your case, You need to take it out or you will get an infection, that could gets badly.
Take care yourself. Your body it's not a toy!

I have a mole that is actually blue, should I go to a doctor?

I had this mole since I was a baby. It never really hurts. I'm not sure it is a mole.
Answer:
never really hurts? does that mean it kind of hurts sometimes? if so, check out WebMD, moles that are white, blue or red , raised or have irregular edges or that change size or color should be checked out. I know this because my dad and sister have skin cancers.. and they check for these signs . You could just have a birthmark but check it anyway. Skin cancer can metastasize ( send tiny cancer cells to other parts of the body to breed into cancers that aren't as treatable.)
go to the dermatologist they will definitely know what it is
I am jealous cuz I want a blue mole..
whether its a mole or not, it's not normal. a dermatologist would be able to help you.
It may have turned cancerous.you need to see your Dr about testing of it..any changes in a mole; color, shape, pain; etc etc...need to be checked out.
Ya, u really should and specially if it changing colour.
first go to the eye doctor.tell i'm that you see blue mole... he will send you to the psychic...
Blue naevus This deep-seated mole appears blue. It is very common in some West Indian infants but is only rarely of any significance.
but you should probably go to a doctor any ways because of malignant melanoma:a type of skin cancer that begins in the skin's 'pigmentation system', IE the skin layer that becomes tanned in the summer. Melanomas usually start in moles or in areas of normal-looking skin. In rare cases the tumor may begin in the eyes, the respiratory passage, the intestine, or the brain. Malignant melanoma is a very dangerous type of cancer, and the patent's chances of survival often depend on early discovery and treatment.
Better safe that sorry
YES!!! moles shouldnt be blue! go and make sure you are okay!!

I have a mole that appears normal, but all the pigmentation in the skin around it has gone away.?

The mole is less then half the size of a pencil eraser, but the "white" circle (color crayon white) in my skin around the mole is about the size of a nickel, and slowly getting bigger. I'm thinking that's bad?
Answer:
Well than Dear I'd say it isn't normal then is it?
Do yourself a favor and go see your doctor. Not even a professional can diagnose a mole unless they can see and sometimes feel the area.Take care of yourself, Pandora
Go to A doctor
it could be a form of skin cancer. have your doc check it out! i had something that sounded like that in the 80s. ANd yes, it was a form of skin cancer. See your Doc!
That is bad. You should go to a doctor. Its not safe for you.

I have a mole on my face and just recently after I scratched it, it has began bleeding, should I worry?

Had the mole for years, hasnt changed in color or size, a slight scab has developed but very easily scratched off.
Answer:
YES, oh God YES!!! Call an ambulance ASAP!!
Well, not really, but you should get it checked.
no i wouldnt worry, if its bad and wont stop bleeding then put pressure on it for a few minutes and then put a bandaid on it. it should be fine and heal up in a day or two.
No, stop picking it though
Call your MD just to be safe they can keep an eye on it from here on out too - I had a bleeding mole but didn't scratch it it started on its own - and the news wasn't good HOWEVER this was different and most cases they say are fine but best to keep a watch - good luck.
not to get u worried but if u pick it off u could activate cancer, if you want it removed go to a doctorhope that helps, and dnt pic it!

I have a mole on my back...i need help?

I have heard a rumor that moles that hurt may be cancerous. There is one on my back that hurts sometimes. Should i be worried?
Answer:
No. Moles that hurt are just moles that are in an area of your body that is getting irritated. Cancerous moles can have a history of bleeding but they don't hurt or itch any more than any other lesion on your body.
It's easy to get it removed. If it hurts becasue it's on the bra line or just itches, it's probalby nothing serious.
HAVE A DOC CHECK IT- SOON, A DOC ONCE TOLD ME 6000 PEOPLE A YEAR DIE FROM MOLES IN THE U.S.
it wouldn't hurt to see a Dr and get it checked out. they can remove it (or part of it) and biopsy it. Then you'll know one way or another if its skin cancer.
YES, you nshould worry. There's the ABC - of cancerous moles: A- is the mole asymetrical? (meaning if you divided it in half, a symetrical mole would look the same on both halves, the asymetrical mole would not). B- is the border of the mole irregular? C- is the mole several colors (darker and lighter brown, black, red or some such?)So if your mole is asymetrical, with irregular edges, and of several colors, RUN to the doctor. (I don't know if hurting has anything to do with this but I DO know about the ABC's).Good luck -- now PLEASE go to the doctor and don't delay.
Hey. Its hard to say without seeing the mole... Can you look in the mirror and see if it looks wierd? Is it deformed, or a particularly odd color? I suggest just going to google or something and looking up signs of cancerous moles. That should help you make your decision and get some relief! Take Care!

There's a way to find out if the mole has any unhealthy cells. There is a product I have used to get rid of several moles that I was worried about. It's all natural and made using nano technology. Unhealthy skin cells have tough cell walls that make it difficult for your immune system to get rid of them. This product softens those cell walls of any unhealthy skin cells so then your body's immune system is able to attack and destroy those unhealthy cells. If you put this cream on healthy skin nothing will happen. It doesn't hurt healthy skin at all. You apply this cream three times in 24 hours. If nothing happens you don't need to worry about the mole. If there are any unhealthy skin cells there it will look a lot worse for a few days as your immune system gets rid of it. It will get a white crust . then a scab. Let the scab fall off on its own .. about a week. After the scab comes off apply the cream again 3 times in 24 hours. If there is no reaction. congratulations... you got rid of a dangerous mole. I had one mole that I had to apply the cream 4 times over a period of about 6 weeks before it was totally gone. It comes in a small bottle and at first seems to be a little expensive. $90. But that little bottle went a long way. I got rid of about 15 spots. . And I let other people in my family and a few friends use it too. It worked for all of us... and I still have some left in the bottle. It was still alot cheaper than having all those spots cut out or burned off. And I don't have any scars either. I have other spots that nothing happened when I applies the cream... so now I'm not worried about those spots. Peace of mind! You can order the cream from LifeLineLLC@yahoo.com

I have a miserable cold, need to go to work tomorrow. Any help?

I stayed home today. Have to go tomorrow. Any suggestions other than chicken soup?
Answer:
Theres always some good medicine for the sniffles and cold. You should take an OTC (OVER THE COUNTER) drug that has some dextromethorphan and some guafanesin in it (ex dayquill). This combination will help help as an expectorant and to get some of that nasty phlem you got hanging around but for tonight go and get you some benadryl its got diphenahydramine which will make ya have a good nights rest. I would not suggest taking the benadryl during the day or while driving cause for some people this drug hits hard and knocks ya out. Hope you feel better and hope this helps
Get plenty of rest and take medicine like cold and flu drinks to help
Dont go.You will infect everyone.
Dayquil
You should just kick back and relax, don't go to work tomorrow if you aren't felling better. If you keep pushing yourself, you'll get a fever and then you will exhaust yourself and have to miss work for longer!
Dayquil does a really good job of making the symptoms tolerable during the day...unless you're like me and react funny to it. I personally like sudefed, clears up my nose. Other than that, lots of rest and lots of fluids.
Best thing to do, sweat it out, go running, sit ups and drink fluids, take hot shower, then keep active, it should flush out of your system soon, promise! SWEAT, SWEAT, SWEAT!!! Drink orange juice too, has vitamins to speed up your immune system!!!
If you don't want to use drugs
Get lemons and suqeeze them into a glass. Add hot water and sugar to taste.
For sore throat cube some pickeld fish and one onion. take one tblsp of fish and one tblsp of onion alternatly until you have eaten all of it (makes thirsty)
For your stuffy sinuses heat some saltwater on the stove and inhale. If you wnat to use drugs
Vic Vaporub and Nyquil
Try Mucinex. It is solid. It really helps with congestion and runny noses. I can't sing its praises enough. Also try hot green tea with honey and lemon in it.
Alkaseltzer plus flu (the orange box) works for me everytime!

I have a mild epilepsy i was wondering because i have my last seizures 2005 it is totally gone?

Answer:
Ahh, yes, the "burden of proof." The problem in deciding if someone has "grown out" of their epilepsy is that the only way you can be sure is to take someone off their medication and see if they have a seizure. If they have another seizure, I guess they still have epilepsy. If they don't have one for a while . . . they could be over it. The absence of a seizure doesn't mean they won't have another.Your best bet: talk to your doctor about it. They can look at your medical history and see what the best course of action is. Two years seems like a long time at first, but they may want to see a longer seizure-free period.
maybe they r gone but my uncle also has seizures and he is 36 years old and he have been having every since he was a little boy and sometimes it world mot have them in a couple of years but eventually they came back but it is a possibility that they r gone i hope so good luck I'll try and remember to pray for you only if you pray for yourself.

I have a medical question?

does anybody know of any over the counter or home remedies for shingles?
Answer:
Taking aciclovir in the first 2 days reduces the chance of permanent nerve pain from shingles. In the UK you need a presecription for this drug orally. Otherwise pain killers and time will see the infection pass.
NSAIDS, such as Advil, may help with pain. Capsaicin (Zostrix) cream provides limited benefits and is used only after the blisters have dried completely and are falling off. The drawbacks are that this may take up to 6 weeks for the full effect and some do not find it effective at all. Your best bet is to put yourself under the care of a physician for more effective prescription therapy.
Watch putting anything on the affected skin that may casue worse skin iritation or breakdown, this could make it worse.Carsaicin cream derived from hot peppers was first used successfully to treat shingles pain before being applied to other types of pain as well. If the pain is unrelenting a doc may prescribe neuromodulatory meds like tricyclics.
Shingles is caused by the reactivation of chicken pox when your immune system is compromised, usually in old adults, people with organ transplants, AIDS, are on immunosuppressive therapy, etc. Best treatment is to improve your immune system if possible. If you are young, without any immune suppression, and show up with shingles, I would get an HIV test as this is most often the reason for your shingles.
Calamine lotion. Oatmeal.

I have a medical problem , blackening or dark colleration?

i have a serious problem i get boils on my inner thigs, its painful and it breaks open after some days and blood is discharged , now gradually the area where the thigs rub have become black and am very embarrased is there a medical remedy for the same ? pls advice me.
Answer:
You should see a dr. There has to be a reason for why you are getting the boils ~ May be some underlying reason ~ a blood test may be warranted ~
you need to go to the docter and get checked out, no one on here could tell you what to do unless they are a docter. half the people on here have no clue what they are talking about anyways.

I have a medical mystery. Can anyone help me solve it?

About nine months ago, I got sick. I had a swollen lymph node in my armpit, severe pain all over my body, and intense headaches. Three months ago, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Since the diagnoses, I have developed more symtpoms. I have rectal bleeding, excessive urinatian, a large growth in my vagina that hurts when I try to insert a tampon, and twitches in my limps and muscles that I cannot control. I'm thinking that the original diagnoses may be wrong. Are the symptoms serious enough to have a trip to the doctor? My next appointment is in september, and I think I should just wait until then. For extra info, I'm 14, and, obviously, a girl. I take 3,200 mg of ibuprofen every day, if that has anything to do when anything.
Answer:
Do you believe in genitics? Well, it may not be from your first generation from you going up. It could be around that to the top. I understand you are troubled by that desease. If you could only try going to the temples and have sacrifices of prayers, I can surely tell you that you will be fine. If you can give me email I can suggest some options. If you are open to this.
I think u schould go see the doctor now. These are not normal symtoms.
dont wait til september, things could get way worse that it is now. its always better to have it checked as early as possible so that things can be prevented from getting worse.
Yes you need to go to the doctor! 3,200mg of Ibuprofen a day can be the cause of your rectal bleeding. That is a dangerously high dosage! It can destroy your kidneys and may have already began doing so. I have Fibro it is very painful, but you need proper meds that will take care of the pain without putting you on a kidney trans plant list. the excessive urination may be from the growth in your vagina that needs to be checked too. Your symptoms of rectal bleeding are serious enough that you should have an appointment in the morning and be sure you tell him how much Ibuprofen you have been taking so he can check for kidney damage with blood tests and get you on a better stronger med for pain. Good Luck!
Those symptoms are too severe, I'd play safe and go visit the Doc earlier - very few medications come without side effects (and they will vary greatly in severity from person to person). If it's the medication they can put you on to something different or at least investigate further, you shouldn't be suffering all these discomforts. They came on after your original diagnosis so that's information your Doctor will want to know, in fact I'm sure he/she will read you the "riot act" for not telling them if you leave it till September..Fibromyalgia does present in many wild and weird ways, but until it's as stabilized as it can be - go give the Doc the pleasure of your company.Good luck
Gray
holy crap...why are you taking so much ibuprofen...does the Doc know this...he/she can't because they would be having a stroke Like I am right now...you're slowly killing yourself...of course the 1st diagnosis is wrong...cal your MD and ask for a sick visit not a well visit like now..like tomorrow...I can't believe you're taking so much WHY! go look at a regular bottle of like Tylenol or Aleve.
Please go to the doctor and make sure everythings okay. If you do have something bad your waiting could make it progress it even more. If its something really bad the damage could be irreversible. Please make an appointment at the doctors or tell somebody please.
3200 mg of ibuprofen is insane! I would never take more than 800 mg and even that can cause stomach bleeding. Ask your doctor for proper pain medication and medication to protect your stomach lining.PS. You are probably low in iron now due to taking so much ibuprfen. If it is low, ask to see a specialist to make sure you don't have anemia of chronic disease.

I have a mass in my abdomen, what could it be?

Symptoms include lower back and stomach pain and stifness.
Answer:
This could very well be a number of things, such as a polyp, a tumor, a cyst, and the like...You need to get a check-up so they can catch it before too long!! You dont want to find out if its something that can become malignant, they you waited too long to see the doctor, you know what I mean...Be careful, and pay your pcp a visit, for us here on ByeDr.com's, okay!! Smile! And You be Good To You, for us!!
Gee. . . .what did your doctor say it was.?
It could be anything from faecal mass, worms etc ec, the location and consistecy of the mass could lead to a diagnosis , see your doctor , it could just be a lump
Differential diagnosis includes primary tumors of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract as well as extrinsic compression from another source. The EUS revealed a solitary, distinct mass of the stomach wall, narrowing the diagnosis. Gastric lymphomas, GISTs, neuroendocrine tumors, leiomyomas, leiomyosarcomas, carcinomas, endometriosis, lipomas, and diverticuli can all arise from the wall of the gastrointestinal tract. Normal pancreas, cystic lesions, and endometriosis can also rarely present in such a fashion.[1] The finding of a smooth, encapsulated mass without mucosal changes or invasive characteristics points to a slow-growing or benign process. Lack of spread into the wall or adjacent lymph nodes suggests a slow-growing lesion, increasing the suspicion for leiomyoma, GIST, or lipoma.
hope this helps i found it on the web, sounds like you should really see your dr and ask alot questions, hope everything turns out ok for you
Anyone can present u long lists of differential diagnosis. But this isn't the proper place for asking.U have to show a doc. Depends where is it exactly, size, consistency ,then upon your age, symptoms, history etc. A diagnosis is based on thorough history, examination n then certain tests...see a doctor as soon as u can ,don't neglect it .

I have a 'man' cold?

Proper horrible, clicky ear and runny hooter cold! I'm stuck at work and can't breathe. Have you any ailments or is there anything you'd recommend I take?Cheers all...
Answer:
Would you like me to run you a nice hot bath??
sorry your sick papi... try dayquil or theraflu it works for me
Lol a man cold...umm try those airwaves chewing gum
Take paracetamol and hot drinks, squeeze half a lemon, add sugar and hot water. Obviously you will have to wait till your home to make that.
GO home,Two weeks in bed lots of hot Whiskey.Chicken soap my mum says its the best thing for colds. And mums no best.X Cindy Oh day nurse worked for me%26gt;and a Vick's for your nose X And someone 2 hug You better. But not to close OOPS X Well yes but sure you have a nice clean mouth. HA HA HA And it would kill the germs X Cindy
I had it last week took Beechams flu tablets they were good or day nurse to get you on 2day is good...
Sudafed works for me.
Tell work you need to nip out for 15 minutes and go and find a chemist. You'll be far more productive when you feel better.Try 2 paracetamol and a nasal decongestant like sinex, sudafed etc. Your clicky ear is gunk in your eustachian tubes; if you clear your nose this will help your ear too.Sympathy - I have the same!
Hi sweetie !
ohhhhhh think you should go home get a big cosy duvet sit in front of the telly and keep warm...
Take some paracetamol with a hot drink and you will feel better soon I'm sure !!!
((( hugs )))
Try a hot toddy or two (or three) it won't cure your cold, but after a couple, you won't care!
Hey, sorry to hear this! Can't you declare yourself sick and go home? That's what a common cold is: a sickness. Your co-workers will appreciate it too!
A cold will last for 7 days if cured and a week if not. But theraflu and sudafed will make you feel better during the first couple of days. Dont overdo it though because they contain paracetamol which is hard on the liver. Lay off nasal sprays because those will make your headcold chronic.
Take care!
try doing what all us females do - take pain killers and go to work - nobody cares.
awww bless poor u

I have a malignant glioma on rt side of brain. Removed most surgically, followed by radiation & oral chemo.?

Now cyst where tumor was is getting larger.Doctor stopping chemo in June and see what happens. Any hope for me?
Answer:
Yes there is hope. Watch out for neurological symptoms (changes in vision and speech, weakness or numbness - especially on 1 side) Only take anti-epileptic medications if you do develop seizures, there's no evidence they need to be taken profilactically. If you feel depressed, tell your doctor to have it addressed - untreated depression worsens the outcomes. There's no need to add mental suffering to the physical. Always have you medical infromation with you when you go places.
Good luck!
Yes their is always hope.

I have a lump on my foot?

it hurts and it is in between my toes. i also noticed it was growing slightly. (i am not imagining things my friend noticed it too) should i see a doctor? what do u think it is?
Answer:
When in doubt, the best answer is to always go to the doctor for a checkup. If you are otherwise healthy you probably have nothing to worry about, go to the doctor anyway to confirm. Good Luck!
just see a doctor
It's probably a wart. If you want it removed, go see your doctor. It's a very simple procedure, but it may hurt a little.

I have a lump on my foot it hurts and it like extra layers of my skin. what is it and what do i do?

it reeaaly hurts. I'm 14 if that has anything to do w/ it. i poked it 'cause i thought it was a blister and blood started flowing out. i know its not a mole because moles are usually soft and it hard. i was thinking it was a wart?? should i go to a doctor?i have another one on my hand now.
Answer:
That's kind of scary... go see a doctor as soon as you can... that's does not sound like something you should treat at home...please... and let your mom know what's happening.
maybe it's a boil
talk to your mother about it, and yes it would be a good idea to see a doctor.
Show this spot to your mom. It's either a callus or a corn, or it could well be a plantar's wart- they are not all soft and funky looking like the one you get on your hands. For the wart on your hand, any over the counter wart remover will work, given time and used properly. Or you can do nothing at all, and the one on your hand will go away all by itself. Meantime, quit poking at things because you can get them infected. Just show your mom and quit stressing. None of it is deadly, no matter what it is.

I have a lump on my chin, it hurts, it looks like a pimple but bigger with clear discharge..help its ugly?

Answer:
I get those sometimes. The best thing to do is leave it alone. I know it bugs you, and you just want to get rid of it. But don't touch. Wash your face as normal, you may want to try a spot treatment to dry it up and get rid of it. It keeps recurring then you may want to see a dermatologist.

I have a lump in my neck, it keeps changing size, any ideas what it could be?

I have looked into cancer of the lymphnodes, but it seems the lump would stay the same size or get larger. Mine changes in size. any ideas?
Answer:
get to your GP straight away hunny. don't leave it as cancer has a good survival rate if it is caught early enough. i know as i am recovering from cervical cancer. i got the all clear in April. but have to have another procedure done in October for the final all clear. don't sit there worrying yourself sick hunny. go and get it checked out. it could be something or nothing, but its best to get it checked just to be on the safe side. best of luck hunny, and i hope all go's well for you xxx take care xx
GO TO SEE YOUR GP. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING.
It sounds like a gland. This could be anything from a cold coming, to an infection in your mouth. Probably nothing serious at all.are you run down at the moment?Try taking some vitamins, getting rest and take liquid Aloe Vera. Give it a week or two, and see your GP.Take care x
swollen gland
stop googling symptoms and see your gp
possibly a blocked sebaceous gland, but I,m not medically qualified, you need to speak to your Doctor.
My lymph nodes swell in my neck when I'm sick. They change sizes. However you should call your doctor and make an appointment for a complete physical and make sure you mention the node thing. good luck.
Go and see your doctor, but if it changes size i don,t think you have much to worry about
I had a problem that sounds similar years ago, it kept coming and going and changing size, finally a specialist recognized it as a calcified sub-mandibular gland and it was surgically removed, apparently these are pretty commom, check with your Dr about it
yeah...ummmmm..either a bug bite or you could be dignosed with lukimia.or cancer... definately get it checked out it could be life threatening.. and for the heck of it rubbing some antihistimine cream on it just to be safe you know.. thats if it's a bug bight....hopefully thats all it is.it would be sad to lose someopne i just talked to.....!!?!!?!!?!!...
get to your doctor asap
Hodgkins is horrible
It will need to be examined to determine a diagnosis. It could be a swollen lymph node caused by an infection somewhere in the body and your body is fighting it. Or it could be cancer . . doesn't have to by lymphoma cancer. Any metastatic cancer can show up as a swollen lympth node. My sons abdominal sarcoma metastastized to his lymph nodes. He was diagnosed using a swollen node from his neck. Go get it checked as soon as possible. Good luck.
i have the same thing itsprobly just a stits. noting bad
See your doctor but it sounds like a sebaceous cyst - nothing serious
go to the doctors.it could be thyroid. but your doctor can advise you loads more as they can see it, and will ask and know your symtoms.

I have a lump in my groin. It is quite tender. ?

I have had two tumors before in my leg on the same side of the lump now. Do you think it could be cancer or something else? What are the chances?
Answer:
It could be lymph glands. Go and check it out
Take care
Why on earth are you wasting precious time asking here.get your *** to your doctors ASAP
get it checked out asap!
It could just be a swollen gland or a sign of infection but with your history i would go straight to the doctor!
the possibilties are endless as to the casue but with your history i would head to doctor asap...whatever it may be the quickest way to heal it is treat it quickly..
GO TO THE DOCTOR , HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN TELL YOU.
Have to agree with everybody else to get to the doctors asap, so what ever it is can get checked, either it will be nothing and you will stop worrying or it could be something but the earlier you catch it the better chances are for treatment.Good Luck.
All lumps should be checked by your doctor whether you think they are serious or not, because you never know what is lurking about. Most lumps are harmless, but you might get the one that is not.
If it's in the fold of your leg where the thigh meets the pubic area it's probably a lymph node and should be checked out. It could be a symptom of something but the only way to tell if cancer is present is for them to biopsy it. It could also mean infection. It could also be nothing at all.
Hernia? Lymph node? How do we know?
i know some one who had a lump in the groin area and it was an in growin hair caused through waxing .dr gave her antibiotics
If you've had tumors before then GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!

I have a lump in my breast and schuled for a breast aspiration..I am sick about the whole thing but scared to?

I am scared so terribly of the needle going in my breast...they said this is probably nothing is that true? Any one been through this?
Answer:
Friend, don't be worried too much now! It's possible not to be cancer. You should learn more knowlege about breast disease and cancer.
"There are a variety of breast diseases, ranging from infections to excessive cell growth (neoplasms). Unfortunately, many breast diseases mimic the symptoms of cancer and therefore require tests and possibly surgical biopsy to obtain an accurate diagnosis. The majority of biopsies are found to be benign (non-cancerous) forms of breast disease. While most breast diseases are not dangerous in themselves, they may increase the risk of developing breast cancer. Hyperplasia, cysts, fibroadenomas, and calcifications are the common benign breast diseases.
Calcifications
Calcifications are randomly scattered residues of calcium that in older women may have left the bones to appear in other parts of the body, such as the joints or breasts. Microcalcifications are small, tight clusters of tiny calcifications in the ducts that can be seen on a mammogram and may indicate a precancerous or cancerous condition.
Cysts
Cysts are sacs filled with fluid; they are almost always benign. Although most are too small to feel, approximately a third of women between the ages of 35-50 have cysts in their breasts. If large enough, cysts may feel like lumps in the breast. Normally, cysts are left untreated. However, if a cyst becomes painful, it can be aspirated or drained of its fluid. Some women may prefer to have a cyst removed if, after being aspirated repeatedly, it continues to recur.Cysts are not associated with an increased risk of cancer; yet, they are more common in women as they approach menopause and occur much less frequently after menopause (Donegan 1995). What causes cysts to develop is unknown; however, certain dietary factors, such as the intake of caffeine have been proposed as possible risk factors for the development of breast cysts.
Fibroadenomas
Fibroadenomas are a type of benign lump most commonly found in younger women. They are usually not removed since they pose no risk. If a fibroadenoma is large, uncomfortable, and produces a lump, it may be removed. In older women, fibroadenomas are generally removed to ensure that they are not malignant tumors. Fibroadenomas do not pose an increased risk of cancer.
Hyperplasia
Hyperplasia is not a precancerous condition. It is the excessive accumulation or proliferation of normal cells typically found on the inside of the lobules or the ducts in the breast tissue. Hyperplasia is associated with approximately a two-fold risk of breast cancer.
Atypical Hyperplasia
Atypical hyperplasia occurs when excess cells in the lobules or ducts are abnormal. This condition falls between hyperplasia (too many normal cells) and carcinoma in situ (too many abnormal cells). However, atypical hyperplasia is associated with an approximately 3.5-5 times increased risk of developing breast cancer (Page et al. 1985; Colditz 1993; Marshall et al. 1997).
Ductal carcinoma is usually formed from ductal epithelial cells. This malignant tumor may be noninvasive (contained) or invasive (may involve the underlying muscles, skin, and lymphatics). The first sign is often a painless or tender lump. "

I think it's cancer
if you can see it on the outside, and the docs say it's probably nothing, don't sweat ti too much. you'll be fine, just probably a bit sore after
I have been through it a number of times. I don't ever remember it being painful at all. It is most likely just a cyst. They just remove the fluid that has collected and it is all over with and it feels so much better after it is finished.
Hi there! Please relax. I had the same thing done a few years ago. Thank God, benign. I understand they usually are. Now I have to get a mamo every year.
How the dr. did mine-he had me go to an unltra sound tech at a women's center near the surgery building, got a samll needle to numb my breast, the needle with a hook to show the dr. where the lump was - was inserted (you might feel a little pressure-no pain) (and don't look if you don't like needles). It was taped into place, then I went to the surgery bldg., and got into a gown, went into the prep room, got an iv, then walked into the surgergical room (it's cold in there!) and then they got everything all set up-a drape was placed over my head to not see anything, got to listen to music, and talk with the dr. and the nurses while the biopsy was being done. I was thankfully doing well enough, I went into recovery, level 2 so I got some pop and something to eat, and was told before I got dressed to leave it was benign!
It depends, though, on the dr. and how they do this procedure. I had a friend who had it done with ultrasound,m wasn't numbed, and they inserted the needle on the side of her breast (where there was a lump) and it hurt her some. So, please ask your dr. how it will be done, and all the details to help you be prepared.
You will do fine. Take care.
yes love i have been there and done that. like you, i was scared to death. they scheduled me for surgery to go in and take a look at the lump (it was very small almost marble size to the touch). they made the incision(cut) around the dark part of the nipple(no visible scar) and he said when he touched the thing it burst. done deal...i pray this information helps to calm you. if they say it's probably nothing they're probably right. they were in my case.
Do not worry, 90% of these are cysts. I like you have been through it. Had a bath one night, did my self exam, ran screaming from the bath woke my Mother up and said 'I have a lump!' Mother replied 'You will need to see the GP in the morning, go to bed!' Mother used to be a Nurse! I saw the GP, he telephoned the Hospital, within half an hour I was in with the SURGEON! Bet you I was SCARED! I mean a SURGEON! Anyway he examined me and then said 'I am going to stick this in and see if I get anything out!' So he did stick it in and he got a lot out! He then said 'I am not even going to bother testing it, a cyst, you can go now!' That was it. Unfortunately it came back and this time he decided to operate. He removed a 'cluster' of cysts, sent them away, they were benign and that was it. Outside of the fact I went from 34D to 34A, I was relived. I know the panic, I know the fear, but mark my words you will be wonder what all the panic was about. Good Luck.

I have a low voice and have trouble projecting it. any tips to make it sound a bit louder?

Answer:
When you want to project your voice make sure to stand up straight. Also try to take deep breathes, making sure to expand your lungs.
Find a vocal coach and take a few lessons
You might try singing. I don't mean in public but at home when no one is around. Sing a long with a CD you like that is in your range. It all has to do with practice. I assume that you are a guy and a lot of gals love a deep male voice so don't yell or shout. You want control and to be able to project with out over powering. Good Luck.

I have a low THS (.04) and the dr thought I had hyperthyroidism, but T3 & T4 are ok. What does this all mean?

My mother, all five of her sisters and my grandmother on the other side all have thyroid problems, so I wasn't too shocked when it was discovered that I have a low THS level (ranges between .01 and .04 instead of being between .34 and 5...). My T3 and T4 tests came out good, though. So, what is the THS test, and what does it mean for my health condition and treatment? I originally went in because of lower-back pain, but I assume this is unrelated.
Answer:
There are two different types of tests for T3 and T4. One checks the levels of free T3 and T4, meaning the amount in your bloodstream. The other checks the levels of T3 and T4 that are bound, meaning the amount that is unavailable. If the overall THS is low, but the amounts of free T3 and T4 are normal, it means that your body is getting and using a normal amount without being stimulated. It probably will not be treated unless complications or symptoms occur.
TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is a hormone that is release that causes your the release T3 and T4 from your thyroid. In hyperthyroidism people typically have low TSH and high T3 %26 T4. Normally (with not thyroid issues) TSH causes the release of T3/T4 but in your case you are releasing T3/T4 without TSH which is considered overactive thyroid. Now in your case you have normal T3/T4 levels with low TSH which doesn't necessarily suggest hyperthyroidsim (to have hyperthyroidism your T3/T4 levels should be higher) - so you may just have "pre-hyperthyroidism" - this may just indicate that you may develop a thyroid problem(like the rest of your family) which can be treated with medication.
On the contrary, my TSH is normal (1.9) but my T3 and FT4 are high so I'm experiencing hyperthyroid symptoms. To further confuse the issue, I am actually taking medication for hypothyroid (because at one time my TSH was 161). So I'd venture to say that if you're not experiencing symptoms of hyperthyroidism and your T3 and FT4 are good, you're okay for now. You're smart to watch it though and always consult with a doctor. Problems with your thyroid effect almost every function of your body...especially with a family history - keep watch!

I have a lot ( in the middle) of heats bumps on my back how do i get rid of them?

there staring to get on the front of my body!please help!
Answer:
are they pinkish reddish brownish? do they look sorta like chickenpox except not bright red? I have these too...and i went to the doc today and found out it is a rare skin condition that goes away in about 4 weeks call Pityraisis Rosea. I made a topic on this so you can view my questions or not. There's no cure for it, so you'll be stuck with it for at least 4 weeks. If you don't have that then..your so lucky! lol...well all i can do is say go to WebMD or google and search heat rash and Pityraisis Rosea just to be sure. WebMD can give you an answer and a picture to make sure as well. i hope i helped you!! =D
ciao for now,
tara
Take a cool bath with a a cup of baking soda added . You can do this a few times a day safely .
Wear loose comfortable clothing and try to get out of the heat. If your body is damp with sweat change your clothes

I have a little white bump right above my left eye...?

My mom says it's a sty or something like that but I don't know what to do about it. I tried popping it, but it hurts REALLY bad lol. It looks kinda like a pimple except its white and it's NOT a wart. I am positive of that. What can I do about it? Home-rememdies or something like that? Is it something serious I should have the doctor look into?
Thanks, answers much appreciated
:D
Answer:
well,i actually have one of those right now and it hurts like crazy! i went to the doctor and he told me it was a sty too! what he told me was to warm up a towel or something, and put it on your eye for 10-20min. then 2 hours later do it again!By 2 days of doing that it will pop and stop swelling and go back to normal! HOPE THIS WORKS!
I would go to a doctor
its probably mollescum. it naturally goes away or you can freeze it
It's probably a sty. You cannot do anything about it except go to the doctor and he can give you some eye drops or something. My friend used to get those all the time. Your best bet, aside from going to the doctor, is just to wait for it to go away. DO NOT squeeze it. It is not a pimple so it will not pop.
It could be an infected ingrown hair or a skin tag(usually skin tags aren't painful though). But anything near the eye should get checked out asap just in case.
Probably just a zit. Do the imposible and leave it alone. If it does not go away in 10 days have your mom ask the DOC to see you. LEAVE IT ALONE!
No matter how tempting it is, do not try popping it. Try to wait for a couple of days and see what happens. If it seems to be getting worse (without you trying to pop it) then you should see a doctor. good luck!
If it is a sty keep your hands off and use a very clean hot wash cloth, repeat (heat in micro for double warmth)
10 minutes on 10 off as much as you can - also there is a sty cream at the drug store in the eye section apply it at night with clean hands.
If it's above your eye I'd say it's more of a large pimple or cyst.
If its not better by Tuesday. Have your mom call the MD
You can apply the warm wash cloth to that too.

I have a little lump on my bottom eyelid. what is it and how do i get rid of it?

At first i thought it was a stye but it doesnt hurt and also doesnt fit the symptons that i researched, but its annoying because i can see it. any advice would be helpful.
Answer:
Go to the doctors and not some random online site with people who could tell you silly things
Hehe enough with the fried chicken! And I had that once, it went away on it's own after about 4 months:) xx
It mite be conductivities, even better, go to the docks and i bet you get a result, good luck!!
it's most likely a stye which can be treated with an over the counter stye medication. If you are concerned, then go to the doctor and get a prescription..
it sound like a tiny benign cyst or goitre,,if it does not go on its own after a while go to your doctor who will arrange to have it removed
it can be very annoying when it get in the line of sight
It could be an ingrown eye lash drops from my Dr helped me
You need to get referred to an ophthalmologist to get a diagnosis - no-one here can see your eye, so at best we're guessing.
My guess is that it could be a cyst of moll - it happens when the small sweat cysts at the margin of the eyelid and eyelashes gets blocked, and can grow to become noticable sometimes. Usually harmless, they're not treated unless they cause discomfort. They can be excised.
It could be anything from a zit (acne spot) to something a lot lot worse... my friend had that and it was skin cancer. I am NOT NOT NOT suggesting that is what it is (before people react badly, I am just showing the 2 extremes), but where your eyes are concerned, you can never take any risks. Please go to a doctor! :-)
if it is white it sounds like a millia which is caused by high chloestral
